Cable Grommet
Gallery
The workshop team had a 3D printer going for COVID desk dividers and had knocked out a few cable grommets for the office while they were at it. The hole circumference wasn't really the issue — you can just scale that. What I needed was specific geometry: a deeper sleeve below the desk surface to push cables down before they exit out to the side, and a taller profile sitting above it. None of the existing models had that.
So I just made my own.

It's a two-part setup. The sleeve drops into the desk hole with enough depth underneath to redirect cables downward before they exit sideways. The lid sits on top with a slot cut through it for the cables. Nothing complicated — just the right geometry for once.
I handed the files over to the workshop team and they printed them for my workstation.
